Musco Lighting Truck

Musco Lighting Truck

Ever wonder how Hollywood lights a big tree, a large swath of background, or otherwise illuminates a large amount of space? Here's the answer -- Musco lighting. This self-contained lighting truck gets rolled into place via tractor-trailer, hoisted into the sky, and voila! Lots of light. This photograph was taken from the media stand looking behind us, so that the light would illuminate the area where President Ford's casket would be carried up the steps during the ceremonies.

Fire Truck HDR II

Fire Truck HDR II

I like this one better than the first...

HDR using two Canon 580EXII off-camera flashes.

One camera right, broadsides to the truck and one pointing up into the driver's window.

I wish I could have put a light in the truck's cab. I counted five wasp nests on the OUTSIDE of the truck. I know there has to be a big one inside.

Anyway, this is made with 5 exposures and enhanced with Topaz Adjust.

An underinflated tire can be a big problem!

An underinflated tire can be a big problem!

Have you checked your air pressure lately?

No Photoshop tricks for scale in these shots! This is a tire/wheel found on gigantic mining haul truck (a dump truck) which can carry 360 tons per load. At 158.5 inches (4.02 meters) high, not only is changing a flat a pain in the arse, but buying a new one would certainly max out the credit card.
